Macnica Networks Corp. Concludes a Distributorship Agreement with Tanium Inc., a U. S. Company Providing an Endpoint Threat Detection Platform

Macnica Networks Corp., (headquarters: 1-5-5 Shin-Yokohama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; President: Masahiro Miyabukuro; hereinafter "Macnica Networks") and Tanium Inc., a U. S. Company providing an endpoint threat detection platform (headquarters: Emeryville, California, U.S.A.; CEO: DAVID HINDAWI; hereinafter " Tanium Inc.,") announce the conclusion of a Distributorship Agreement.

In recent years, as targeted cyber attacks have become more sophisticated, rapidly spreading infections and information theft has become a real problem. Even as a significant incident may occur affecting terminals and servers inside an organization, it still takes time to isolate the cause and implement solutions, meaning that sometimes the damage has already worsened. What is needed in addition to solutions to protect the network, is increased focus on the importance of solutions for endpoints.

Tanium Inc., who Macnica Networks has now joined up with in a contractual relationship, is already known in the US as a provider of innovative solutions, who display their unique message "realizing endpoint detection, visibility and control in 15 seconds." By employing a robust relay system called the "Tanium chain" that transmits information between terminal endpoints, Tanium enables information from terminals on large-scale networks to be collected instantaneously, providing acquisition of information in real time.

Utilizing this method, Tanium is able to specify in real time, "the number of terminals infected" from among tens of thousands of terminals, based on information detected from other security devices. Tanium can also implement countermeasures like isolating infected terminals, terminating processes and deleting files. Utilizing Tanium enables the flow of processes that trouble a company's security department, from specifying the cause of an incident through to implementing solutions, to be performed swiftly, providing significant value by making it possible to protect endpoints in real time before an attacker can complete a targeted cyber attack.
