On August 1, 2017, Macnica Networks Corp., a leading supplier of network equipment and security solutions, headquartered in Shin-Yokohama, Japan, announced the acquisition of Netpoleon Solutions Pte Ltd. ("Netpoleon"; Headquarters: Singapore; CEO: Francis Goh Teck Hoe). After the acquisition Netpoleon will become a fully owned subsidiary with Macnica Networks holding 56.5% of Netpoleon shares.

Macnica Networks corp is a leading value-added distributor (VAD) of network equipment and security solutions. Macnica Networks product line is based on selecting the most advanced technologies in the world. Coupled with these advanced technologies, Macnica Networks dedicates and focuses on providing its customers with local engineering technical services, support and solutions for the Japanese market. Macnica Networks has established strong, long-lasting and successful partnerships that include a wide range of suppliers from industry leading companies, major vendors that are operating business globally to the smaller startup companies looking to expand their global reach with emerging technologies.

Netpoleon is a VAD founded in the year 2000 by Francis Goh Teck Hoe. Netpoleon has nine offices in seven Southeast Asian countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) including the headquarters in Singapore with 258 employees. The revenue for the year ended December 2016 was 71.4 Million USD, which was largely composed of sales of cyber security solutions. With global system integrators as a sales partner, Netpoleon has established aclient base focused on the financial industry, telecommunications industry, and government-affiliated organizations.
