- Macnica Networks finalize an agreement to become the only authorized distributor in Japan to offer the complete suite of Forescout solutions -

Macnica Networks Corp., a leading supplier of AI, DX, security, and network solutions (headquarters: 1-5-5 Shin-Yokohama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama, Japan; President: Jun Ikeda; hereinafter “Macnica Networks”), has finalized a distribution agreement with Forescout Technologies, Inc. (headquarters: California, USA, CEO, and President：Michael DeCesare, hereinafter “Forescout”). Under the agreement, Macnica Networks has become the only authorized distributor in Japan able to offer the full suite of Forescout solutions.

Against the background of the proliferation of network-aware devices in the IoT era, enterprise information systems, and IT terminals are facing new challenges. For example, with the emergence of IP-enabled printers, phones, and cameras, we are experiencing rapid growth of different IP devices within the enterprise. Speedy development initiatives, increased use of the cloud in work style reforms, network connections for the digital transformation of industrial systems in plants and factories - all of these have led to a sudden increase in the areas that must be managed by the enterprise. However, it is difficult to achieve visibility and control of these proliferating and diversifying devices, which leads to attack surfaces broadening and increasing business risks. Against that background, Macnica Networks has begun providing comprehensive security solutions that address the need for more reliable enterprise security in an age when devices of all kinds connect to the Internet.

The Forescout Platform provided under this agreement takes an agentless approach to network discovery and monitoring, enabling centralized control of the entire enterprise network, including IoT and OT. By utilizing real-time visibility of devices connected to the organization's network and rich device contexts, it becomes possible for IT managers to make all devices visible and to enforce compliance with security standards.

Macnica Networks will be the only authorized distributor to offer the complete suite of Forescout solutions, that include eyeSight, eyeSegment, eyeControl, and eyeExtend, to enable discovery and control of all devices in every situation, including industrial systems, as well as, information networks, data centers, cloud services, and IoT areas. As the sole distributor of Forescout solutions in Japan, Macnica Networks can implement and support total security for its customers.
